High wind warning issued for Hudson County until Wednesday morning

On Tuesday at 3:49 a.m. a high wind warning was issued by the National Weather Service valid from 6 p.m. until Wednesday 6 a.m. for Hudson County.
The weather service states, “Southeast winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 65 mph expected.”
“Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles,” explains the weather service. “People should avoid being outside in forested areas and around trees and branches. If possible, remain in the lower levels of your home during the windstorm, and avoid windows. Use caution if you must drive.”
