Boeing has awarded a $130,000 grant to Housing Hope’s education, employment and training programs.

The Housing Hope Program provides employment and education services to people experiencing homelessness, poverty and other adversities in Snohomish County. The program positions people to earn a GED, high school diploma, degree, or certificate so they can pursue the living wage careers they’re passionate about, according to the news release announcing the grant. will do so.

Housing Hope owns and operates 541 affordable units in 23 locations throughout Snohomish County, with two projects planned in South Snohomish County.

Housing Hope’s Training Academy offers transferable life and work opportunities to the long-term unemployed, underemployed and underrepresented who want to enter the workforce to support themselves and their families financially. A free service that teaches skills.

Housing Hope said the aim of the program is to increase the number of underrepresented people pursuing career path opportunities in STEM and other high-demand fields in 2023. . The aim is to help 60 people get on-the-job training, find jobs or get an education.
