Jessica Dunley, Clinical Education Coordinator for Communication Sciences and Disability Programs, has been selected to participate in the 2022 American Association of Speech-Language Pathologists Leadership Development Program.

From a competitive national survey, ASHA annually selects only 30 speech-language-hearing professionals with leadership potential to participate in an intensive training program. Participants come from a variety of educational and medical organizations to collaborate on new initiatives related to speech and hearing science. Cohorts also have monthly meetings with industry leaders for personalized mentorship and strategy training. The program culminates each spring with a professional culminating project and presentation tied to each participant’s career goals and expertise.

Danley joined the Communication Sciences and Disorders program in January 2021. In her role as Clinical Education Coordinator, she teaches undergraduate and graduate level coursework, oversees clinical operations at the U of A Speech and Hearing Clinic, and leads clinical programs in Brain Injury and Speech. and swallowing service.
