Diller’s Fashion Gala Celebrates Opening at Amarillo Westgate Mall

Dillard’s, Inc. invites the Amarillo community to celebrate its 40th anniversary and the grand opening of its new location at Westgate Mall with several events later this fall, including a fashion gala. The organization partnered with the High Plains Food Bank (HPFB) to host a grand opening fashion gala on Wednesday, November 9, from 6pm to 9pm, the night before the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Dillard’s and HPFB guests will be treated to an energetic and exclusive fashion show featuring Dillard’s latest holiday looks, private shopping experiences, swag bags, music, food and more. A $50 redeemable gift card must be purchased for admission. A portion of the proceeds from every card purchase will be donated to his HPFB. Gift card tickets can now be purchased directly at the Customer Service Desk on her second floor at Lady Dillard’s current location.
“Dillard’s is celebrating its 40th anniversary in Amarillo and so is the High Plains Food Bank. By donating to food banks, we are doing something good for our communities,” said Craig Seiter, manager of Dillard’s Westgate Mall.
“Selling all 400 redeemable gift cards will give HPFB 28,000 meals, which is pretty cool. Our overall goal is to sell over 140,000 meals during this 30-hour sales event. It’s about providing food and making a profit on food, and so are banks,” Seiter said.
At its Grand Opening Celebration, the fashion store will continue to serve Amarillo customers from its dual anchor format at Westgate Mall and will feature the latest concepts in store design and technology at its beautiful new and fully renovated former Sears location. I’d like to introduce_______ With an official ribbon-cutting ceremony scheduled for Thursday, November 10, the store will open and be ready in time for the endless holiday shopping excitement of customers in the Amarillo area.
“During the gala, Mrs. Texas and Mrs. Texas Outstanding Teen will also be attending for a comprehensive fashion show for the season, with opportunities to win prizes and giveaways in all categories.. .. said Melissa Adair, Director of Communications and Special Events at Dillard’s.

The new Westgate Mall store will be the new home for cosmetics, women’s apparel and accessories, lingerie, junior and children’s apparel areas, as well as women’s and children’s footwear. The Men’s Store and Home Store will remain in their current locations.
“My favorite thing about this new location is that both levels are on the same floor and the open concept of this floor allows you to stand anywhere and see anything from a distance. We’re adding new brands for ,” Sater said.
Dillard’s, which opened its Westgate Mall store in October 1982, celebrated its 40th anniversary serving Amarillo. In addition to the Grand Opening Celebration, Dillard’s will be hosting giveaways on opening day. The first 200 winners will receive a swag bag containing a mystery gift card. The new location will also host a Veterans Assistance Services fundraiser on day one that benefits veterans’ spouses.
