A survey reveals the 20 most influential people in digital marketing.Digital

HubSpot Founder and CTO Dharmesh Shah has been named the most influential person in SEO and digital marketing with a staggering 1,036,649 LinkedIn followers and over 296,000 Twitter followers.
This list was compiled by Rock The Rankings, a SaaS SEO agency that analyzed social media to find the top 20 influencers for 2022.

In second place is John Rampton, serial entrepreneur and founder of online payments company Due and productivity company Calendar. According to research, Rampton had his Twitter follower count at his staggering 1,257,792.
Pam Moore, founder of digital marketing agency Marketing Nutz, was the most tweeted person in the study. With more than 25 years of experience sharing with the world, Moore has created 134,776 tweets providing advice and industry insights to his 285,548 followers.
Two SEO influential women made the top 10. Among them are Aleya Solis, an international SEO consultant and founder of Orainti, who ranked ninth, she is the founder of Zen Media Shama Hyder. Hyder is the most popular on her LinkedIn with an incredible 615,959 followers while Aleyda Solis has more of her Twitter followers (125,110) than that.
Google is one of two companies to make the top 20 twice, the other being SEO software company Moz. Danny Sullivan, Google’s Public Relations Liaison, is in the top five thanks to the number of tweets (78,888) and his Twitter followers (533,000). Additionally, Google search advocate John Mueller is known for sharing tips in the SEO industry and giving Google tips on what to expect next. His followers clearly want his advice and opinions on the latest industry trends.
No wonder Rand Fishkin and Neil Patel were both on the list. Fishkin is the founder of Moz and Patel is the founder of his Kissmetrics. Both figures are very popular on social media, especially Twitter, and both have over 400,000 followers of his. When it comes to LinkedIn, Neil Patel has quite a few followers (453,000) and Rand Fishkin has his 128,000 followers.
The study was published at a time when the digital marketing industry is rapidly evolving. The global market is estimated to make him worth $786.2 billion by 2026, and currently the SEO industry alone puts him worth $80 billion.
And as the industry grows, so does the interest in careers. According to Google Trends data, global searches for “SEO jobs” have increased by 76% for him in the last 12 months.
