THE Internet and Mobile Marketing Association of the Philippines (IMMAP) will launch IMMAP Academy, a holistic digital marketing initiative aimed at training and certifying college students with the digital foundations needed for the modern workforce, by 2022. We started a program for young people.
The learning program consists of instructor-led digital courses, self-paced learning modules, industry mentorships and digital marketing competitions in partnership with Certified Digital Marketer (CDM) Philippines.
The educational approach consists of five Saturday Masterclasses, which are online certification courses covering digital marketing fundamentals, social media marketing, video marketing, e-commerce fundamentals, and foundational knowledge of digital media and creative execution. Also, self-paced learning modules powered by the biggest and most relevant platforms like Meta, Google, Shopee, Lazada, Twitter.
The masterclass was held every Saturday from July 16th to August 13th, 2022. Over 1,114 students from his 45 schools in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao have enrolled in live online classes.
The next series of activities will include the IMMAP Academy competition, the culmination of the IMMAP Academy’s work. In the competition, students summarize what they have learned from the masterclass and her IMMAP Academy modules.
Participants will be given three weeks to use the knowledge and strategies they have acquired to create a comprehensive campaign for one of the country’s leading brands. A digital marketing expert, he also receives guidance from IMMAP Academy mentors.
The tournament will be held on October 11th during the “Digicon Valley 2022” week. The final winner will be announced on his October 14th during the Boomerang Awards.
Participating students will also have the opportunity to access internships and job opportunities among participating IMMAP member companies.
Other upcoming activities are the Youth Conference and Digital Young Creatives, also in October.
This year’s Digital Youth Congress (YouthCon) takes a deep dive into the world of young-founded startups to inspire future entrepreneurs. Youth Startups is both a theme and a call to action to involve more Filipino youth in the startup economy that is transforming the way people live, work and learn.
YouthCon aims to empower young people to put their ideas into action through interactive feedback on their ideas and the opportunity to be recognized in the startup community.
Meanwhile, the Digital Young Creatives (DYC) competition is open to all young creatives under the age of 30. Competing pairs are tasked with coming up with a “digital-centric” communication and business solution for a given case.
Teams are given 24 hours to create their entries. The national champions compete on the world stage through the Cannes Young Lions Competition.
IMMAP looks forward to these youth-focused educational programs that will equip the next generation of digital marketers with the tools and expertise they need to conquer in this ever-evolving environment.
