Technology is advancing rapidly and here at 11 London we are moving with it. The past few years have seen a whirlwind of new, accessible software and technologies that have changed the way we interact, both online and offline. Now Metahumans (powered by Unreal Engine 5) is just one of many innovations launched in the digital marketing space.

But what are metahumans? What does Unreal Engine do? We did some research and wanted to share our findings with you.

First, Unreal Engine is a real-time graphics tool used for creating and developing 3D media. Mainly used for video game production. It’s now powering over 2 million.architectural and automated visualization, film and television graphics content.

Unreal Engine 5 is the engine’s fifth update and the largest engine to date, with over 16,000 digital assets in the built-in marketplace, A developer community of over 7 million usersIt’s one of the most open, powerful and advanced 3D creation tools out there, and with this new fifth installment, it’s royalty-free for all users as long as the total product revenue doesn’t exceed $1 million.

So where does MetaHumans come in? MetaHuman is a framework powered by Unreal Engine 5 tools that enables the creation and animation of highly realistic human characters. MetaHuman creation tools let you clone human faces and bodies or create them from scratch. These models can be pre-rigged and animated in sync with audio, or face-rigged and used as virtual avatars in real time.

Many patients undergoing serious medical treatment may not be able to sit through lengthy video recording sessions due to fatigue or other side effects. These patients were able to submit their voice recordings and build the rest in a fully virtual environment. You can create MetaHumans to clone patients themselves or create entirely new faces.
