Digital Marketing Academy receives £500,000 funding to fill digital skills gap in Manchester

Thousands of people in Greater Manchester will be trained in digital marketing skills and immediately on the job through the launch of a new training programme.
The Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) has awarded £499,928 to the Fearless Adventures Academy scheme as part of the Skills Bootcamps programme. Funding is provided by the Ministry of Education’s National Skills Fund.
The Fearless Academy provides free, industry-led digital marketing training to help individuals 19 and older acquire “important” digital skills. In addition to this, the Academy’s Talent Team supports learners upon completion of the 12-week Skills Her Bootcamp and leverages a network of founders to provide an accessible route to employment.
The industry-driven curriculum is delivered by digital marketing experts from parent brand Fearless Adventures. Its instructors share their knowledge and expertise across a variety of digital specialties, including search engine optimization (SEO), pay per click (PPC), social media, graphic design, and web development.
All tutors are said to be “experienced professionals who have supported a variety of high-growth global brands,” including The Hut Group, Co-op, Unilever, Aldi, Logitech and Superdry.
The program is part of the government’s Lifetime Skills Guarantee and Jobs Plan, designed to help people climb the career ladder, return to work and access advancement opportunities while helping employers meet their skills needs. is part of
Skills Bootcamps are free, flexible courses of up to 16 weeks, giving people the opportunity to build sector-specific skills and get interviewed quickly with employers.
