Game Night returns to the Dover Library
Dover — The Dover Public Library will resume game night in the Lecture Hall on Wednesday, September 21 from 6-8pm. Games are provided, but players can also bring their own games to share. Available games include Carcassonne, Scrabble, Monopoly, Settlers of Catan, Uno, Forbidden Island, and Tyro. This event is primarily aimed at ages 12 and up, but families and all ages are welcome to attend.No library card required to visit! The program is free and open to the public. Nina Totenberg speaks at music hall
In the PORTSMOUTH – The Writers on a New England Stage series, on Wednesday, September 21st at 7pm, award-winning NPR Correspondent Nina Totenberg discusses her highly anticipated new memoir, Dinners with Ruth.
The 7 p.m. event will include a presentation of the writers and an onstage interview with New Hampshire Public Radio’s Civic 101 host Hannah McCarthy.
Tickets are $15. Purchase of a book voucher (Dinners with Ruth, $28 hardcover) is required for each ticket sold. Vouchers can be redeemed on the night of the event for a copy of “Dinners with Ruth” with a signed bookplate. Coastal Science Center celebrates 30th anniversary
RYE – The Seacoast Science Center has been a center for coastal and marine science education since its opening in 1992. Located at Odion Point State Park in Rye, he will be hosting his 30th anniversary celebration on Thursday, September 22nd at 7pm. Lecture History of Imported Textiles
SOUTH BERWICK, ME — The Old Berwick Historical Society will host an online lecture by textile historian Titi Halle on Thursday, September 22nd at 7:30 PM. From the 17th century to the 19th century he explored the types of Chinese and Indian silk and cotton available in England and how they were used in furniture and clothing. Kittery 375th Anniversary Bash
Kittery – A 375th birthday bash will be held on Friday, September 23 from 4:30-6:30 pm at the Kittery Community Center on the outdoor Frisbee lawn.
The Kittery School Department and Kittery 375th Committee will host an evening filled with carnival games, bounce houses, obstacle courses, desert walks, pony rides, PNS STEM activities, delicious food and lots of fun.
A portion of the proceeds from game ticket sales will go to the Kittery PTA and the Pam Hoyt Sanborn Scholarship Fund. For more information, visit kittery375th.com.
Comedian Eugene Mirman at 3S Artspace
PORTSMOUTH – Comedian/actor Eugene Mirman kicks off ‘I’m Late For My Meeting’ at Portsmouth’s Lake Comedy Tour on Friday, September 23rd at 8pm at 3S Artspace. A hugely popular stand-up, many fans have heard of Merman voicing “Jean” in the Emmy-winning animated television shows “Bob’s Burgers” and “Bob’s Burgers Movie,” as well as in the new film “Confession, Fletch.” I know you played.

Fairy House Tour This Weekend
The Portsmouth – Fairy House Tour runs rain or shine on Saturday, September 24th and Sunday, September 25th from 10am to 3pm. Hundreds of enchanting fairy houses are on display at the Strawberry Bank Museum, the Governor’s House, Prescott Park Arts Festival and The Gundalow Company. All proceeds provided by Friends of the South End go to local schools and non-profit organizations.
The Southern New Hampshire Dance Theater will present a 20-minute excerpt from the original Fairy Dance ballet on stage at the Prescott Park Arts Festival at 11am, 12pm, 1pm and 2pm on both days.
Your ticket is a one-day admission ticket and includes admission to each historical museum and its grounds. Tickets for a family (4 people, any combination of children ages 3 to her 12) are $30 in advance and $35 at the gate. Adults $12 in advance, $15 at the gate. Seniors, $8 in advance, $10 at the gate. Children ages 3-12, $5 in advance, $7 at gate. Free for children under 3 years old. Tickets are sold online at FairyHouseTour.com. Saturday’s Kittery flavor set
Kittery – Kittery’s second annual Taste of Kittery takes place on Saturday, September 23 as part of the town’s 375th anniversary celebrations. This event showcases Kittery’s rich restaurant culture. Post Office Square, 10 Shapleigh Road, 1pm to 4pm with food, beer, music and fun.

Seacoast Walk to End Alzheimer’s Returns to Portsmouth
The Portsmouth-Alzheimer’s Association Massachusetts/New Hampshire Chapter is inviting residents of Portsmouth and surrounding areas to join the Seacoast Walk to End Alzheimer’s at Little Harbor School in Portsmouth on Sunday, September 25th.
Participants can choose to start a team, join a team, or walk as individuals during the annual fundraiser. The opening ceremony begins at 9:30 am and the walk begins at 10:00 am. To register online, visit alzwalkMANH.org.
Jazz Concert at Wentworth Gardner Warehouse
PORTSMOUTH — On Sunday, September 25th from 3-5pm, the Wentworth Gardner Historic House Association will present a jazz concert by the Danny Harrington Jazz Quartet at the Wentworth Gardner Warehouse at 50 Mechanic Street Portsmouth. Admission is $20 at the door.
