Samsung brings “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon” to Fortnite as it looks to connect with Gen Z in its latest move into the Metaverse.
A playable Fortnite experience called “Tonight at the Rock—Powered by Samsung” is equal parts gameplay and Samsung advertising. The game was created by Momentum and built by digital product agency Studio Beyond.
Janet Lee, senior vice president of mobile experience at Samsung Electronics America, said: in a statement. “This partnership is an incredibly fun and unique way for consumers to engage with our products in a safe and enjoyable environment.”
Players will find themselves in the highly detailed 30 Rockefeller Plaza. There’s even a scaled-down version of Times Square and a subway station nearby. Players can choose from several single and multiplayer mini-games, including Giant Pong, Race to the Top of the Rockefeller Building, Taxi Race, and an “escape the room” type game where you escape from Studio 6B. being filmed. Throughout the game, Samsung phones, watches, and tablets are used as in-game power-ups.
