Rep. Pertola appointed to House Education and Labor Committee

JUNO, Alaska (KINY) – Rep. Mary Sattler Peltra was appointed to the House Education and Labor Committee this week.
The announcement was made Wednesday night by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
“A proud and outspoken voice for Alaska’s working families, she will bring important insight into the work of the House Education and Labor Committee to strengthen American freedoms at work, especially the right to organize and bargain collectively.7 Rep. Pertra, a mother of three and a grandmother of two, is a champion for ensuring every child has access to a quality education, from investing in public schools to opening the gates of higher education. They will be invaluable partners in the fight,” Pelosi said.
Peltra, who is also a member of the House Committee on Natural Resources, was thrilled to learn of her latest commission assignment.
