Helen (Kassin) Egerton, 64, passed away on December 15, 2022 in South Kingstown, Rhode Island. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Leo Cassin Her Jr. and Helen She Frances (McElroy) Cassin. She leaves her daughter Laura (Egerton) Alby and her husband Glenn Alby. with her grandchildren Aiden and Alana Alby.

Helen was a summer resident of Matunak, her favorite place. She thoroughly enjoyed her days at the beach.Helen holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Her College, Rhode Her Island and a Master’s degree in Special Education from Providence College. Prior to her retirement, she worked for many years as a special education teacher for the Providence School District.

In addition to their daughter and grandson, they have siblings Terry Kelly with her husband Thomas Kelly, Dr. Kate Cassin, Eleanor Cassin, Lori Cassin, and Thomas L. Cassin III with his wife Kelly Cassin. She also leaves many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at 10:00 am at St. James Chapel, 2079 Matunuck School House Rd, Charlestown, RI 02813. Visiting hours are Monday, December 19, 2022 from 4-7pm at Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Colombia St, Wakefield.
