This role enables Cone Health to be at the forefront of changing the way people choose where to get care.

Greensboro – Deno Adkins was used to help Cone Health become a more consumer-centric organization. He was appointed Senior Vice President of Outpatient and Consumer Services.

More than half of Cone Health’s revenue comes from people receiving health care outside of the hospital (eg, outpatient CT, same-day surgery, emergency care, primary care, and nonhospital emergency room visits). According to Healthcare Success, consumers are increasingly choosing these locations based on location and how quickly they can get an appointment. Consumer health plans and business hours also play an important role.

Adkins joined Cone Health as an Administrative Fellow. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Foreign Networks. He led the team that opened his Cone Health MedCenter Greensboro at Drawbridge Parkway. This latest of his MedCenter has been operational for less than eight months and has exceeded his first year business goals.

Adkins holds a bachelor’s degree from Furman University and both a master’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in health administration from Georgia State University’s Robinson College of Business. He is a Fellow of the Health Management Academy GE program and the American College of Healthcare Executives. He is a certified management coach.
