NEWPORT, Arkansas (KAIT) – Thinking about going back to school but not sure where to start? The Newport School District may have the answers.
They offer adult education courses as a way to give back and get more people involved in the community.
Program Director Grover Welch says it’s just one way to give back and get people to come to school.
“The idea was through some of our committees, and we talked about creating a program that would bring more people to campus.
The most important thing about the program, Welch said, is that anyone can sign up and it costs nothing.
“I really want to emphasize that it’s a free, free course for adults,” he said. Elements are involved in this.”
That survey is part of the signup process where people can talk about what they want to learn
The program offers many courses, from credits and quantitative literacy to painting and Christmas decorating.
