Miss Jackson (WJTV) – The Mississippi Lefleur Museum District (LMD) is hosting its 7th annual Mississippi Science Fest from September 15th to September 17th.

The Mississippi Science Fest is held at four locations: the Mississippi Agriculture and Forestry Museum, the Mississippi Children’s Museum, the Mississippi Natural Science Museum, and the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame and Museum.

The purpose of this event is to showcase the science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) industries that span the state and engage students and families in a fun and interactive way.

LMD leaders want to introduce this experience to individuals so that they have the opportunity to advance science education and workforce development.

For a special entertainment occasion, LMD leaders invited Major League Baseball executive, architect, and urban planner Janet Marie Smith to host a public debate.

Monique Ealy, Director of Education and Programs at MCM, said organizers were thrilled with the attendance figures for the 7th annual event. They want to help you start the new school year with a great learning experience.

Ealy said, “I am happy to be able to inspire our children and their families with the importance of science education. increase.”

A transport trolley is provided for participants to move between sites. Food trucks are also available at each site for lunch.
