MEXICO – MU Healthcare will open the South Clark Medical Building in Mexico with community leaders at 9:30 am on Tuesday.
The building houses MU Health Care’s Family Medicine Clinic and Mizo Urgent Care.
In July of this year, MU Healthcare’s Family Physician Clinic opened, and in August of this year, the Mizou Emergency Clinic opened.
MU Healthcare spokesman Eric Mays said Tuesday’s event represented an opportunity for the company to provide emergency family care to rural communities in need.
“MU Health Care says it’s committed to expanding health across rural communities. This sort of thing furthers our mission,” said Maze.
The South Clark Medical Building is located at 3626 S. Clark Street, Mexico.
Emergency Care is one of the Company’s two total Emergency Care.
“We will provide the same services that we provide to residents of Audren County in Colombia, Mexico,” Mays said.
According to previous press releases, the emergency clinic offers x-rays, testing services, respiratory therapy, IV hydration and medication, asthma and respiratory infection services.
Emergency room from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm daily
The Family Clinic provides care for the whole family and connects patients with other doctors and specialists, according to a July press release.
The Family Clinic is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
The MU Family Medicine Clinic includes Community Health Provider Diane Jacobi, Ph.D., and Nurse Practitioner, Regina Hill.
Mays also said Tuesday will provide an opportunity for members of the Mexican community to meet with medical leaders and doctors to celebrate the continuation of local healthcare.
However, the expansion of rural healthcare does not end there.
“In addition [to the current opening]We plan to open multiple specialty clinics in Booneville next year,” Mays said.
MU Health Care currently has clinics in the rural areas of Ashland, Boonville and Fayette.
