Medina County Voters to Renew Health Tax in November

MEDINA, Ohio — Medina County Health Commissioner Christa Wasowski spoke at a city council meeting this week about her department’s upcoming levy updates.
“Let’s keep Medina County healthy. This is what the health department wants over the next 10 years, just as it has done over the past 100 years,” Wasowski said.
“There are many residents who are using our services, and there are many residents who need us. , older adults and individuals alike can continue to be protected.”
The $700,000, 10-year levy is just a renewal, not a tax increase, she noted. And because it is a fixed cost levy, it is not subject to future property value revaluations within the county. This means that if taxation is approved, the taxpayer will not pay any more.
“Vote YES. We ask all viewers watching tonight to vote YES for the tax collection update,” Wasowski said.
