Madison, Wisconsin — The nonprofit education charity Ascendium awarded $100,000 each to two Madison nonprofits focused on literacy and education.

The award goes to Literacy Network, which helps adults with reading and language skills, and Operation Fresh Start, which helps people aged 16-24 to become self-reliant by helping them finish school and find jobs. I was.

Literacy Network said it plans to use the funds in its student services department to help connect students to classes and other basic community resource needs.
