30 Business Owners of Bauchi Launch 2-Day Training in Digital Marketing

With more people shopping online in the business world, there was a need to train Bouch’s 30 business owners on digital business.
This training aims to equip participants with the skills to run a business online and compete with other developed nations around the world.
The training is facilitated by the Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) Bauchi State Office and is a two day training.
Abdulrasheed Aliyu, State Manager of SMEDAN, said during a speech on Thursday at the start of the training that the program will work with a digital agency known as ‘Mind the Gap Nigeria’ to provide training under the agency’s digital skills training. It was designed with
Abdulrasheed Aliyu said 19 provinces across the country were selected for the training, adding that the participants were representatives of different unions in the country’s marketing sector.
According to him, “Nowadays, most businesses are online, and we understand that most people do business traditionally in nature. One of SMEDAN’s missions is to develop small businesses and It’s about supporting business.”
He also said, “That’s why we introduced this training to give you knowledge on how to do business online nationally and internationally, and we call it Digital Skills Marketing.”
SMEDAN’s manager further added, “We want to train small business owners on how to do business online so that they can market their products to get more customers and earn more profits.” said.
Abdulrasheed Aliyu, an Information and Communication Technology (ICT) expert, also teaches participants not only how to get online, but also how to secure websites and avoid hackers and scammers. said.
However, he advised trainees to take the training very seriously, adding that they had to spend as much as N50,000 to obtain the training from individuals, but that it is now being offered free of charge.
Zak Ibrahim, Trainer and Community Manager of Mind the Gap Nigeria, Bauchi State Chapter, also said that the trainees were trained on how to operate an online presence and ensured that their business would operate locally. As well as being able to serve people beyond their reach and geography.
According to him, “There will come a time when people will stop physically going to buy things. This is already happening, especially in developed countries.”
He stressed: It will grow their business very well and in fact you will see changes in their finances as well. “
Speaking on behalf of the participants, Malam Bala Uunty thanked the federal government and SMEDAN for the “admirable” training, adding that it would enhance their business.
He promised to pass on the knowledge he gained during his training to other businessmen who were not lucky enough to be selected for the training.
