The CEO of Digital Realty Nigeria, Engr. Ikechukwu Nnamani recently bagged the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award at the Africa’s Beacon of ICT Merit and Leadership Awards organized by Nigerian CommunicationsWeek.

In the last 30 years, Nnamani has demonstrated his expertise in the digital space, especially in Nigeria’s data centers and interconnected services, which are now considered the backbone of the country’s digital economy. Industry experts acknowledge his significant contributions.

His worthwhile contributions have been recognized by industry experts as he was also one of only four individuals chosen for this esteemed honour by a meticulous selection panel.

“We are honored to present you with the Lifetime Achievement Award,” declared Mr. Ken Nwogbo, founder of Nigerian CommunicationsWeek, at the ceremony that highlights initiatives driving Nigeria’s ICT sector on the global stage.

This award recognizes Nnamani’s unrelenting commitment to providing innovative ICT solutions that fuel Nigeria’s flourishing digital economy.

For over a decade, Digital Realty, formerly known as Medallion Data Centres Limited has been at the forefront of the Nigerian digital economy through the provisioning of carrier-neutral data centre services in both Lagos and Abuja.

Over that period, the company has solidified its spot as the “go-to” provider for fast, efficient, and cost-effective data centre and connectivity services when time to market and affordability have become essential.

Digital Realty boasts of the region’s number one peering point, providing a crucial link for submarine cables, long-distance providers, fixed and mobile service providers, Over-the-Top (OTT) providers, internet exchanges, Value Added Service (VAS) providers, and global Tier 1 service providers.

Nnamani’s impact goes beyond Nigeria’s borders. For the past three decades, he’s been a champion for building telecom infrastructure across Africa.
