It wasn’t until the 1950s that the Batlló family stopped owning Casa Batlló. The building has changed ownership several times over the years, but the Bernat family, who have lived there since the 1990s, have restored it to its original glory.

With the house’s 1995 public opening, the family showcased this architectural marvel to the world and began renting out the space for events. Casa Batlló has also given cultural visits since 2002, which happened to be the same year as the International Year of Gaudí. Both options are available right now, and they’re both getting better all the time.
