With the Healthy Opportunities Pilot launched, how is your organization using the program to better serve your customers?
We discussed this topic with Sonya Jones, co-founder of Caja Solidaria. As of August 18, Caja Solidaria has her 47 referrals to her HOP program. Jones believes the program will benefit not only the health of his clients, but the health of his community as well.
Amy Upham also joined the conversation as executive director of the Eleanor Health Foundation. The foundation connects people with substance use disorders and other mental illnesses to affordable medicine, employment, and more.
The third panelist was Madlyn Morreale, a North Carolina Legal Aid Attorney. Legal Aid NC helps North Carolinians find housing resources, health care and more.
NC Health News Medicaid and local health reporter Clarissa Donnelly-DeRoven moderated the panel.
