FORT WAYNE, Indiana (WANE) — As part of Giving Tuesday, the Do it Best Foundation donated $100,000 to Neighborhood Health through charity.
The Big Give initiative aims to make a positive impact in northeastern Indiana by providing charitable grants to one local nonprofit each year.
In addition to the $100,000 prize, The Big Give will provide an additional $50,000 in matching funds if Neighborhood Health can raise that amount.
“Neighborhood Health has a significant impact in Fort Wayne and northeastern Indiana because of its focus on community health,” said Rich Lynch, president of the Do It Best Foundation.
The organization recently acquired a ward at 3501 Warsaw Street, sharing its vision of a community health center that will provide a multitude of medical services south of Fort Wayne.
“The need is particularly high in southeastern Fort Wayne, and their plan to address infant mortality among other critical areas of health care is perfectly aligned with the Foundation’s goals,” Lynch said. .
Neighborhood Health has launched a crowdfunding campaign to reach its $50,000 goal.
