Pops of red, flat shoes, wide denim and maxi-skirts are popular outside the Spring 2024 shows.

It’s the most stylish time of the year: Fashion month, baby! And you know what that means: street style outfit inspiration as far as the Loewe balloon sunglasses-covered eyes can see. Starting off strong with the Spring 2024 shows in New York, we’re seeing some NYFW street style trends emerge from the jump including fall’s biggest trend, pops of red, seen on everything from shoes and handbags to easy day dresses and silky tops.

Elsewhere, maxi-skirts are still popular, iterated in ankle-grazing denim, sporty parachute silhouettes and cargo styles. The shoe du jour is undoubtedly flat, seen in classic ballet and trendy Mary Jane versions, while the denim is decidely loose, wide and relaxed. Aside from red, we’re noticing interesting shots of yellow, in hues ranging from butter cream to marigold, not to mention a fresh green that could be described as somewhere between celery and peridot.

Hiding in plain site among the NYFW street style brigade were some of the usual Big Apple A-list celebrity attendees, including Jennifer Lopez, Gabrielle Union and Julianne Moore who donned their glam Americana best to take in the Ralph Lauren show,
